Yesterday we kept our powder dry, but today we again enter the fray.
Thirsk 14.30 looks a tricky race with Middleham Park Racing XXV111 supplying 2 of the intended 9 runners. Although I am sure they will both intend to keep the prize up North, I am turning my sights to the Sherborne Dorset horse of Bill Turner's who is his lone representative today. The 280 mile trip should not go un-rewarded and with Jake Payne claiming 7lbs is worth an eway punt at the current odds.
Coconut Kisses 1pt win at 7.0.  2pts place at 2.4
2nd 5/1 Profit 1.8 pts.

Over to the jumpers at Stratford.
A.J. Honeyball has a fine record here and  Hes Our Lad will be attempting fences for the first time in the 14.40 Beginners Chase. Providing he jumps well enough he should win with little fuss.
Aidan Coleman is the man in the saddle.
Hes Our Lad. 3 pts win 2.6.
Easy winner at 1/1. Profit 4.80 pts.
