Pacha Du Polder is clear on official ratings and looks poised to 

give Ms V L Pendleton her first win in what looks like a match 

with last year's winner  Big Fella Thanks.  The Nicholls' horse 

has the advantage of 11lbs and age is also on his side and at the 

early price of 2.62 looks a penalty kick providing he gets the 

assistance from the saddle.

The ex Irish horse Si Cetait Vrai has entries at Newbury and 

the Cheltenham Festival and all are over 25F /26F so today's 

trip over 20f looks on the sharp side.  Colin Tizzard and David 

Pipe have won the last two renewals and look like being the 

leading players again. Paddy Brennan has struck up a good 

partnership with the Tizzards and Quite By Chance is not 

dismissed lightly, but I take the view we have not seen the best 

yet of La Vaticane and she is given another chance to show 

what she can do before heading off to Cheltenham.

A nice start to March with a 4/1 winner.

Ist March 2016.15:50 Leicester Lockstockandbarrel may be a good thing as  the betting suggests but the race may not be  so clear cut as it seems at first glance.  Abracadabra Sivola is having his 1st race  for  David Pipe since leaving Nick Williams . His  2nd place in a Class 2 Exeter Novice  Chase over 3 miles is at least equal to the  favourites Class 3 Novice Chase win.  With 4 entries this week and one at the  Cheltenham Festival suggests to me he is  ready to go. The 6lbs he receives from the  O'Neill horse is a bonus and could swing things in his favour. The price of  4/1 looks  good value for the highest rated horse in  the race.

Today's Hints.

The Irish look to have a strong hand on the last day especially the Gigginstown House Stud owned horses.

Paul Nicholls' has a few dark ones who may be a lot better than the bare facts suggest.

Jonjo and Hendo are having a poor time of it considering the fire power they both have.
It is difficult to see Jonjo getting on the score sheet unless Holywell wins the Big One.

Yesterday's hints certainly hit the jackpot.
Paul Nicholls' had 3 winners at 9/2. 9/1 and 25/1 and a pair of seconds.
As I stated in an earlier post it is not always the most fancied runner that obliges.
Mullins also had Don Poli at 13/8.

Today's hints.
McCoy and J.P MacManus need to be given a second glance. They generally have something that pops up during Cheltenham week.

Dicky Johnson and Hobbs have a handful of outsiders that could show a profit eway.
Colour Squadron and Big Easy (a couple of Pro losers) could yet silence the critics.

Nicky Henderson is having a poor season by his standards but usually gets on the scoresheet.
Watch his runners over the next two days.

Finally David Pipe's runners cannot be ruled  out especially in the handicaps.

The trail blazing Bygones Sovereign owes me nothing. I have taken the 42.0 on Betfair  with the hope he repeats his tearaway tactics as his price will surely drop in running.
